The Power Of Exchange

The Power of Exchange is a growing social phenoninum that is bringing us back to our community and social roots in a way that connects people, energy and resources.

See where you can add exchange into your life and recognise it for the high value it is. Socially, personally and globally. Socially and personally  because exchange brings people closer together, it develops bonding and relationship and connection. Globally because we are saturated with resources on the globe with a dubious resource allocation on all levels that is driven by the current monetary system that is unsustainable and inequitable.  Exchange brings it back home to us, to our individual dealings and empowers each of us in the heart felt process of a real experience that feels good.

Today I taught a Kundalini Yoga Class at Mapleton Hall. It was the first class for 2014 and this series is running every Thursday morning until March 6th. the classes are by exchange. So this concept means that you bring what you want, what you have, to the value of how you value the class and gift that in return for the gift of the yoga class.

The idea of exchange is not new, its the original way of trading, and grass roots to all monetary systems. However it is not considered in the same way as money, because exchange is  a lot more personal and intimate than money could ever be! The exchange can be pre negotiated in the same way we would negotiate a sale of goods or services, or it can be a complete surprise to the receivers, so that the gift is from the heart, from a spontaneous action and intuitive offering. However the exchange is done, it is done from your heart and intuition combining the practical offering of resource or skill taking the other person into consideration and what would be appropriate for them to receive from you in the process.

Exchange is energy, How long did that carrot take to grow?, those vegetables?, fruits and flowers? How much personal and social and planetary energy went into the beauty of growing these foods. And, the magical qualities that fresh fruits, vegetables and produce have when they are hand grown in local organic soils, from the person who is putting their imprint on these plants. Then we have the exchange. the exchange where one person offers you something that you want, and you gift these beautiful produces to the person as a value and validation of the exchange.

Wow, I can only say that the feeling of Joy and equity experienced by all in exchange cultures and exchange experiences is powerful. Its validation that the work you have put into making the produce is equal to the value of receiving the experience.

Today in my experience the result is. we do not have to go shopping for fruits, vegetables, flowers, eggs or bliss balls this week. Oh, yes the love that was put into those lemon coconut bliss balls was so appreciated. And The thank you love letter on the big bunch of flowers and basil and spinach. That kind of exchange can not be replaced with money. It has all the right energies in it and thats what life is about. Gratefulness overwhelms me as I write this blog.

Then we have exchange of resources and items that no longer serve you that can be passed on to another person to enjoy. Today I received a singing bowl, a cycle pedometre, a bag of beautiful old healing books and that too was amazing.  The books were perfect, they are exactly what we need tor ead right now. Once a resource has been utilised by you and you have travelled your journey with that reseource. There is always someone there who needs to utilise that same thing.

Thats the mystery of the universe in direct action and response mode. How incredible is it that you end up at exactly the right place when you need something? That you experience exactly what you need at every single moment in life? and that you are able to shed old resources like an old skin and move onto the next phase of your life. THis is beautiful. The ebb and Flow of resources. The thing that really impresses me about this intuitive exchange process especially with the books today is that these books are old healing books that are very interesting indeed, they are not just any old books, there is one written in the 1960’s about crystal healing that perfectly compliments and adds new information to my library of books on crystal healing. There are two books on living and dieing and accepting the death process and one book about dreams and how to read them. This is wonderful news in the medical library we have for the herbal dispensary. Syncronicity is everywhere.

When it comes to resources it important to keep the energy flowing. Let them go, let them move on and free up your energy for the new and vital to enter your life in all ways. Keep your environment clear and as uncluttered as possible to allow this shaping and movement to occur.  This is another powerful place for exchange to happen.  Go through your stuff and have an exchange experience with others in whatever way it happens. Either give it away or do direct trading. Its fun and its also very healthy and productive.

This was the exchange today from teaching Kundalini Yoga. I am very grateful and appreciative that we have fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, eggs, bliss balls and books, singing bowl and cycle metre. Wow, not to mention that a bond is due at the hall and there was exactly that amount of cash in the exchange process. Its all perfect and beautiful.

Our kundalini yoga series one classes run at the Mapleton Hall from today ( 6th Feb) till March 6th. Every Thursday Morning at 9am till 10.30am. Then we all go and have a chat al a local cafe. Payment by exchange.

We are starting a networking system next week where I have asked everyone to bring business cards, or if they make or sell something to bring that or show us what it is. I want to develop the networking and the exchange energy in this process.

Sat Nam and Thank you for reading my blog today.

With love as always Dom xoxox
